In his 23nd year coaching, Coach Spence served as Quarterbacks coach in his first year at East Paulding before becoming the Head Coach for the 24-25 Season.
Before coming to East, he served as head coach at Paulding County HS for six seasons. During that stop he led the Patriots to the GHSA State Playoffs and was fortunate to help many student-athletes achieve their goals of playing at the next level. Prior to PC, Coach Spence spent 14 years at McEachern High School. During his time at McEachern he was named Cobb County Offensive Coach of the Year while serving as Offensive Coordinator for the Indians from 2010 to 2016. As coordinator, the Indians reached the GHSA State Semifinals two times.
He is a native of Calhoun, Georgia and is a graduate of Kennesaw State University. Coach Spence also works with the JR Raiders football program to help prepare our future Raiders for Friday nights.
Coach Spence and his wife Mandy have been married for 16 years. They have 3 amazing children Bode (15), Brady (12) and Emily-Kate (9).
